Dr Appleby on sabbatical leave Dr Appleby is currently on a six month absence from the practice in order to work overseas and do some travelling. He returns (hopefully!) in April 2012. His absence is being covered by Dr Fiona Watt, who completed her GP training with us and who is known to most of our patients. We wish Al and his family safe travels Advice for holiday-makers Aviemore is often busy with holiday makers. For information on common problems for people on vacation and the assistance we can offer, please visit this page.Secure prescriptions Our secure online Prescription ordering system is now operational. For data security reasons, we now no longer accept direct emails for prescription requests, as these are unsecured. Please use the secure form. Thank you.
Doctors In Training Dr Michelle Mehers joins us on February 1st as our new ST1 replacing Dr Zoe Anderson who is moving to the delights of the orkney Isles. We wish Zoe well and thank her for all her hard work at the practice over the last few months. Dr Ele Ragg continues her GP training with us in 2012. Medical Student Placements Andy Findlay is currently on attachment with Dr Langran to the CairnGorm Ski Patrol doing a project on pain management for injured skiers and snowboarders. He is with us until mid March but will be spending most of his time up at the ski area. We have been active in medical student teaching now for 12 years and wish to acknowledge the ongoing support from our patients in this training, which is crucial for training the doctors of the future. You can always opt to see a doctor or nurse on their own if you so wish without prejudicing your care. Dr Langran is our medical student tutor. |
