Patient Participation Group

This group was set up approximately 3 years ago by local resident Anne Howe. The idea was to create a forum allowing patients to discuss issues and developments relating to the Medical Practice with both medical and managerial staff. Meetings are held quarterly at the Health Centre. These meetings allow practice patients the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the Aviemore Medical Practice.

In recent times there have been many important issues that concern us all. Some examples include the re-configuration of ambulance services, changes to the patient transport system to and from Raigmore Hospital and issues relating to x-ray facilities at the surgery. As a group, we have a stronger voice and are therefore potentially more able to influence these issues before important decisions are made.

After an initial enthusiastic start, attendance at group meetings has decreased. This is your opportunity as patients of the practice to come along and express your opinions in a relaxed and friendly forum.
