REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS
We require 2 working days notice for repeat prescription requests.
If you so wish, we can arrange for your prescription to be sent directly to the chemist in Aviemore for processing or you may prefer to collect your prescription from the surgery after 3pm on the day they are ready. Please indicate clearly on your prescription request form where you wish to collect your prescription from. Please check your medication stocks regularly as urgent ?same day? requests continue to occur and place a considerable strain on what is already a busy system!
All medications on repeat prescription need to be reviewed at least annually by the doctors. You may receive a request to come in for a review. Similarly, we may indicate to you that you require something else (e.g. blood pressure or cholesterol review) and we would be grateful if you could make an appointment if requested to do so.
Changes to requests for repeat prescriptions (updated 22.3.10)
Please note that to ensure the security of patient's personal details, we will soon be upgrading our website to include a new secure web page for repeat prescription requests. Once this is set up, it is our ultimate intention that this will become the only electronic way to request a prescription from us. We will be phasing out the ability to accept direct email requests from patients for prescriptions. More information to follow once we have this service up and running. |
