The successful Protected Learning Time initiatives within the Inverness and Badenoch & Strathspey Localities, will continue to provide all primary health care staff, (Doctors, Nurses, Reception Staff, Physiotherapists etc) with access to quality training and education.

This benefits all patients and ensures they are treated by individuals who have regular access to protected time to develop, update and enhance their skills.

In order to continue to operate this quality development, all the Medical Practices and other primary care health facilities in Inverness, Culloden, Aviemore, Grantown on Spey, Kingussie and Laggan, will close for an average of 7 afternoons per year year. Closures take effect from 1pm.

A up to date list of current and future dates for PLT is on display at the surgery. For any medical emergencies, an enhanced Out of Hours service will be in operation, so the closures should have no adverse effects on your care.

Please note, if you are picking up a prescription on any of these days, you should do so before 1.00pm.
